SEO Services Hong Kong | Search Engine Optimisation for Growth
This page explains what SEO services in Hong Kong actually include — the audit, research, technical work, on-page changes and measurement used to grow organic search. It is not a vendor comparison. If you are choosing an agency, use the SEO agency page.

Diagnosis
SEO audit and opportunity analysis
Services start with what is blocking the current site, not a standard package.
Find the actual bottleneck
An audit is useful when you do not yet know whether the problem is indexation, thin service pages, weak internal links, or a conversion path that never asks for contact.
Leave with a priority list
The output should say what to fix first, which URLs can compete, and what should wait. A free first-pass review is on the website audit page. A paid audit goes deeper into Search Console, templates and competing pages.
Research
Keyword and search-intent research
Keyword research for Hong Kong SMEs is about queries that signal a buying or booking decision — not a list sorted only by volume.
Commercial queries first
Service + location, service comparisons, and problem statements customers type before they contact anyone. Volume is secondary if the visitor will never enquire.
One intent, one URL
Each important query should map to one intended page. If two pages chase the same intent, they dilute each other. That mapping is the brief for later on-page and content work.
Structure
Website and SILO architecture
Search engine optimisation depends on whether Google can tell which page is the main answer for a topic. A silo groups related services under a parent URL and uses internal links to pass context to the commercial pages.
Parent service pages
One clear URL for the core offer, instead of splitting the same service across blog posts and legacy pages.
Supporting URLs
FAQs, process and local pages that link up to the commercial parent rather than competing with it.
Clean navigation
Menus and breadcrumbs that match the intended hierarchy, so users and crawlers follow the same path.
Technical
Technical SEO
Technical SEO is the work that lets Google fetch, index and render the right URLs. Fixes stay inside the existing site stack wherever possible.
Crawl, index and canonicals
Canonicals, redirects, robots rules, XML sitemaps, HTTPS, pagination, duplicate parameters, and template-level heading or metadata issues.
Mobile layout and image weight
Usability and image sizing that affect layout stability. We do not add large front-end libraries to chase scores.
On-page
On-page SEO
On-page work is titles, H1s, intro copy, headings, internal anchors and metadata that match the intended query — without stuffing the same phrase into every paragraph.
Message match
The first screen should tell a searching customer they are on the right page for the service they typed.
HTML hygiene
One H1, logical H2s, descriptive alt text where images matter, and canonical tags that do not conflict with hreflang.
Content
Content optimisation
Content optimisation rewrites existing pages so they answer the search completely — who the service is for, how it works, what happens next, and what evidence the business can show.
Close gaps on service URLs first
New articles are commissioned only when a gap cannot be closed on a service page. Publishing volume is not the brief.
Follow bilingual search demand
For Hong Kong sites, English and Chinese pages should follow how customers search. A literal translation of every Chinese URL is usually the wrong architecture.
Local
Local SEO where applicable
Local SEO is in scope when the customer chooses a provider by area. It is not a substitute for sitewide technical and on-page work.
Google Business Profile
Consistent name-address-phone details so the profile and the website describe the same business.
Location and service-area pages
Use them when district or neighbourhood queries matter, then support them with the rest of the organic site. The Chinese local SEO guide explains Google Business Profile, Maps and location pages in more depth.
Conversion
Landing-page optimisation
Organic landing pages should make the offer, proof and contact method obvious on a phone.
Visible next step on mobile
WhatsApp or form actions, readable headings, and no horizontal overflow from oversized images or tables.
Reuse ads conversion tags
When a page also receives Google Ads traffic, the same CTAs and tags are reused so SEO and ads are not tracked as two different products on one click.
Tracking
Tracking and lead measurement
SEO services include checking that Search Console, analytics and GTM are installed once and firing the existing lead events.
One install, existing events
WhatsApp clicks continue to use the sitewide listener. Form leads on the audit tool still fire only after a successful server response.
Judge SEO by contact
Indexation and query data show exposure. Enquiry channels show whether that exposure produces WhatsApp, phone or form contact.
Retain
Ongoing optimisation
After the first fixes, SEO services become a cycle: watch query data, improve the pages that attract the wrong intent, expand internal links, and refresh copy when competitors change.
A retainer is optional
If the remaining jobs are a closed technical list, a project is enough. Not every site needs monthly execution after the first repairs.
Advice without a managed team
If you want an advisor rather than an execution team, use the SEO consultant Hong Kong page. Choosing a company to run the work is the SEO agency page.
Deliverables
What you receive
SEO services are the work products, not a glossary. The mix depends on the site. A typical engagement produces the items below rather than a ranking screenshot.
A priority list from the audit
Which URLs can be indexed, which commercial pages are thin, and what should wait. This is the brief for later work, not a separate product name.
Technical fixes on the current site
Crawl, indexation, canonicals, redirects and template issues that stop Google using pages you already have. Specified so a developer can ship them.
On-page and intent changes
Titles, H1s and body copy rewritten so a service page answers the search a customer typed — who it is for, what happens next, and how to enquire.
An internal-link map
Supporting pages point at the commercial URLs that should own each intent, instead of leaving those URLs isolated.
Local SEO only when area intent exists
Google Business Profile and location pages when customers search by district. Skipped when the business is not chosen by location.
Measurement you can read
Google Search Console for queries and pages, GA4 for landing-page behaviour, and the WhatsApp, phone or form events already on the site. Rankings stay a supporting signal.
Process
How the work proceeds
Diagnose the current site
Search Console, templates and the enquiry path. The output is the priority list, not a retainer proposal.
Assign each important query to one URL
Commercial, comparison and information intents are separated so two pages are not written for the same search.
Implement the first fixes
Technical changes, on-page edits and internal links on the pages closest to an enquiry.
Report exposure and contact
Review GSC, GA4 and enquiry channels, then decide whether the next step is more implementation, a pause, or consultancy only.
SEO-only work is quoted according to that scope. There is no fixed SEO-only monthly price. Integrated Marketing Plans are published separately: Basic HK$5,000, Growth HK$8,000 and Advance from HK$12,000 per month. They include SEO, Google Ads management and website optimisation, and they exclude Google advertising spend. See SEO pricing and Marketing Plan pricing.
Next step
If you need a partner or an advisor
Each page answers a different search. Use the agency page to choose a partner, the services page for scope, and the consultant page for strategy and second opinions.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is included in SEO services?
Typical work includes a diagnostic audit, keyword and intent research, technical fixes, on-page changes, content improvements, internal linking, and tracking so organic traffic can be judged by enquiries. The exact mix depends on the website. This page describes the service menu; the agency page is for choosing a partner.
Is search engine optimisation the same as buying ads?
No. Search engine optimisation improves how the website appears in unpaid Google results. Google Ads can produce faster tests and short-term leads. They can share landing pages and conversion tracking, but they are not the same service.
Do you offer one-off SEO work or only monthly retainers?
Both exist. A one-off project suits migrations, technical repair or a defined set of landing pages. Ongoing optimisation suits competitive terms that need repeated content and measurement. If you are still diagnosing the problem, start with an audit rather than a retainer.
Will you rewrite the whole website?
Usually not. Most Hong Kong SME sites need stronger service URLs, clearer headings, better internal links and a few high-intent landing pages. Full redesigns are only useful when the current templates cannot support search or conversion.
How do you measure SEO services?
We look at indexation, query and page performance in Search Console, on-site behaviour, and whether WhatsApp, phone or form contact increases. Rankings are a supporting signal, not the definition of success.
Where should pricing questions go?
SEO-only work — an audit, a defined project, or ongoing SEO without ads management — is quoted according to scope. There is no published SEO-only monthly fee. Integrated Marketing Plans (SEO, Google Ads management and website optimisation) are published separately as Basic HK$5,000, Growth HK$8,000 and Advance from HK$12,000 per month, and they exclude Google advertising spend. Those figures are not an SEO-only price. Details are on the Chinese pricing pages. There is no separate English pricing URL.
